Civil War Battlefield Tours

Saturday: 9:00-11:00am and 2:00-5:00pm
The Civil War battlefield site of the Battle of New Bern is located at the entrance to Taberna.
Directions: From New Bern take US 70 East (toward Havelock), turn right at traffic light at Dunkin’ Donuts, then turn left immediately after crossing railroad tracks. Follow driveway to Visitor Center.
Crocket-Miller Slave Quarters
Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Saturday: 9:00-11:00am and 2:00-5:00pm
Visit the structure and Far Cemetery, a burial ground of former slaves and freedmen which holds 522 grave sites.
Directions: From New Bern take Route 70 East (toward Havelock), turn right at the Burger King (Williams Rd), turn left onto Howell Drive, Crocket-Miller Slave Quarters is on your left
