Rembrandt in America exhibit, NC Museum of Art, Raleigh
Thursday, January 18, we will head to Raleigh for the Rembrandt in America exhibit at the NC Museum of Art. We will start with lunch at Iris, a fabulous restaurant in the museum complex, immediately followed by a docent led tour of the Rembrandt exhibit. After the exhibit tour, you are free to enjoy the many shops and other points of interest available in Raleigh. Driver’s receive a $5 per passenger gas stipend. Meet at the Historical Society office parking lot at 8:15am. Space is limited. $45 per person including lunch.

Visit Belhaven & Bath
Thursday October 6 we will travel scenic roads and cross the Pamlico by ferry to visit historic Belhaven and Bath. In Belhaven we’ll enjoy a special lunch at Wine & Words’ Back Bay Café. Then we’ll tour two historic homes in Bath: the Palmer-Marsh House and the Joseph Bonner House. Both towns offer interesting shops you will want to explore. Enjoy this autumn trip with friends for $30. Driver’s receive a $5 per passenger gas stipend. Meet at the Historical Society office parking lot at 8:15am. Please be prompt so we make the ferry!
Spice Bouquet Cooking Demonstration and Gourmet Lunch, Kinston
Get inspired for the holidays!! Day Trip-ers is visiting Spice Bouquet in Kinston, Wed., Nov. 2. We will meet at their outlet (located on Hwy 70 W, Kinston) at 10:45 am to watch a cooking demonstration while they prepare a gourmet lunch for our enjoyment. Each recipe showcases spices that can be purchased right there! The menu is citrus salad, two hors d’oeuvres, blackened salmon (not spicy), black beans and rice with a papaya mango relish, and flan.
This day trip is$23, but does not include a gas stipend since we are staying close to New Bern!
